During the almost 3 years I have been with Sodexo as Contract Manager at Kings College Hospital Golden Jubilee Wing PFI, one of my greatest challenges has been to build a proactive motivated team who not only live the Sodexo values but also the values of our NHS client.
After a wonderful 4 years as part of the development team, where I had managed my own global projects, improved ways of working within the department and mentored a junior member of the team, I was ready for my next challenge.
If we assess individuals as part of a process in a fair and consistent way then the outcomes can be extremely positive. As a growing business however, we not only want to attract the best talent, but we also want to make sure we retain that talent so need to be making the right hires.
I started with Sodexo in 2010 as an ad-hoc steward. In the 6 years since then I have worked on 26 different units (out of around 70), some for one trip, others for multiple trips.
